The Squamish Community Foundation (SCF) is pleased to present the 2024 Annual Impact Report. This is the third annual report designed to highlight the impact on the community from our donor funds, community partnerships, granting and other programs.
Highlights from the report:
- The SCF unveiled our new 2024-2029 Strategic Plan in July 2024.
- The SCF released the 2023 Squamish Living Wage Report in July 2024 and the 2024 Squamish Living Wage Report in November 2024.
- Over $31,600 in Endowment Fund distributions were shared with 15 organizations in 2024 through the SCF’s Annual Grants program, including two scholarships totalling $2,500 to students attending post-secondary institutions.
- This year, $17,195 in grant funding was shared with individuals interested in building community through the immensely popular Neighbourhood Small Grants program.
- This year we administered $97,953 in Community Enhancement Grants to 25 local organizations providing important services and activities to some of our most vulnerable community members.
- In collaboration with the Vancouver Foundation, Community Foundations of Canada, $195,000 was distributed to 11 organizations advancing poverty reduction and social inclusion in 2024 via the Community Prosperity Fund.
- In alignment with our strategic priorities to Grow our Brand and Grow our Funds, the SCF hosted two community events:
- a screening of the documentary “Uncharitable” at the Brackendale Art Gallery, in collaboration with Pearl Space and Sea to Sky Hospice, and
- the first ‘Squamish Gives 5%” Holiday Giving Campaign.
